Google Slap and I went from PR 0 To PR 3
Hello, You might have heard about the google slap and how it had affected so many websites and how there was so much noise and chatter on several blogs and forums. As quite clear from the chatter people knew about the upcoming google new PR updates and it was targeting paid links.
Well I had been busy with work and other projects so did not get some time to be on this blog, but I was missing the conversation with my readers, while doing some research I stumbled upon a website which grades the websites/blogs so after the research I type in my blog address and I gave me a google PR of 3, 
my first reaction was oh it is some kind of mistake and went on with my work, after a while when I went to my blog there it was on the toolbar 3 and I thought wow this is for real, Now I had read a lot about how to keep Google happy and followed some of those advices nothing major and as the most successful blogger will say write for people and not for google.
Hey for you who are interested to know, I made $50.00 last month with affiliate marketing. I will be posting about that in my next post.
John Chow Fighting ShoeMoney for URSSC (Ultimate RSS Championship)
Hi, If you are on the blog scene you might be aware of the Marketing fight going on between John Chow of JohnChow.com and Shoe Money of ShoeMoney.com , both of them are very well know online marketers.
The Goal of the contestants is to increase the number of their rss readers, and the very first title of URSSC (Ultimate RSS Champion) will belong to the person who adds the most number of RSS subscribers readers in ONE month that is from Oct 1st 2007 to Oct 31st 2007, and the LOOSER Runner up will display on their blog that the Winner is a better Online Marketer than him.
In order to win the championship both the contestants are utilizing their ultimate Knowledge of online marketing. Both the Fighters started their Online Empires from the humble beginnings.
Shoemoney was slow to respond as for the first 10 days or so as there was no major promotion on his blog, whereas John Chow was already throwing some heavy punches. Shoemoney sensed danger and starting warming up for the upcoming challenge.

Loading ...10 things I learned in 100 days of blogging
100 Days of blogging had all the emotions from excitement to frustration, thrill to boredom act now to procrastination.
- Goal setting: I knew how important goal setting is to the success of any undertaking, but the best part was that, I got to brainstorm and categories my Goals and had fun in making an action plan, and then following on the action plan. No I did not achieve all the goals in the defined time frame, but I was much closer to the goal. “Without goals we are like a floating cork in the ocean.”
- Persistence and consistence: How many time I had to force myself to do something for the blog, like writing a post, following on the comments left by the readers and leave comments of value on other bloggers post. Sometimes I had that urge to let it go and I would see the drop in the number of visitors, would pick myself up again and follow the action plan as mentioned in the previous point. “Keep on keeping on…”
- Content is the king: You write it or have others write for you, but the soul of a blog lies in the quality content, I myself have seen the huge spike in the visitors and comments when there was a post of some value to the reader.
- Find the passion: I also had heard this saying do what you love and the money will follow, in my view earlier it was I am more interested in the money part, what passion, it is for sissies…. I can do the work and want the money to follow, from my experience of 100 days of blogging I am willing to change the camp and follow what the folks already said. “Passion can move mountains”
- Relate to your audience: It is very important to say what you have on your mind and not appreciate the feed back, but then it is one way street to nowhere, I have found some good people who are very helpful and willing to share their knowledge and expertise, when I left a comment on their site/blog and got a response back. “No traffice jams on two way street” (Not sure about that in my hood… ::smile::)
- Role Model or Mentor to follow: If I have seen father and greater it is because I stood on the shoulder of giants. It is the most important thing I learned, one has to have a mentor/coach who can guide us and correct us, who can chisel away the flaws and inspire and motivate us to go further achieve higher. There is a saying in India that “Both God and Teacher are in front of me, to whom should I bow first, I bow to you o my teacher, it is you who told me about God.”
- Revisit my goals: Man o man Goals and action plan on paper look so easy and doable that is really thrills me, but I have slipped on many of my goals. In my blogging experience I learned that revisit your goals and making any changes in the action plan to achieve those goals is the most vital part of this process.
- Have some fun and light articles: No body like just work work or the same information in different wrapper, it is very important to share some light moments and have fun.
- Link building: Through link building I learned to build relationships with other bloggers, got out of the comfort zone and approached them was able to learn from them as well.
- Reward yourself: It is a good idea to reward yourself on some accomplisments or major milestones. I came to know that only I can lift myself and needed a self pat on the back when I reached a goal etc.

Are You Intelligent Enough To Crack This Or You Need An Alien

Recently I came across an article about the Voyager 2 and Voyager 1 the first man made objects to reach interstellar space, Voyager 2 launched on August 20, 1977, and Voyager 1 followed on September 5, 1977 along their journey they have made some great discoveries and sent home some great photos of our solar system planets.
What really got my attention was that both the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 are taking with them a Golden record with the information about us humans, like where we live what kind of languages we speak, songs we sing, what is our location essentially who we are as HUMANS. Here take a look at the Golden Record it actually of Gold.

My question is that if we Intelligent human found it, can we (Average Joe) decipher it, what are all those circles, rectangles, waves like electric current diagram, a toy car in upper left corner.

I had to go through this diagram many times just to understand some of it, God bless the average alien who tries to figure this out. Now this post is not intended to make cheap fun at the folks who came up with it, Carl Sagan was the head of the committee and I have a high regard for him.

Make Money Online Experiment # 1
Hi,
In my journey to make money online I did take the first step couple of days ago, yes I know it took me more than 2 months to overcome the initial hump, you can call it beginners anxiety, fear of unknown etc but I think it was the information overload.
I had been reading many blogs, ebooks, magazine articles etc. to be fully prepared, these are my recommended ebooks, well my brake came when I read somewhere on shoemoney.com blog about taking risk and capitalizing on the market inefficiencies .
I immediately took action and last week bought 3 LG bluetooth headsets from woot, at the price they were selling I had inclination that I might be able to sell them for a profit. I bought them for roughly $50.00 including shipping, till date I have been able to sell one of them at $29.00 so far I have recovered 60% on my investment and I am pretty sure to sell the remaining 2 pieces. Encouraged by that I even bought a MS Zune for $150.00 which I will sell for a small profit margin.
Lessons learned:
- Get enough knowledge, there is no point in getting all the information.
- Take action immediately, as you know just do it.
- Invest back into the business (Boy I am tempted so many times to use the bluetooth and now the zune)
- Have a Goal/Dream to follow.
